Bamboo Sea in Sichuan ( 2010/11/25)
   There are wide varieties of plants in bamboo sea of Sichuan , within which the bamboo amounts to 58 species, such as moso bamboo, arrow bamboo, golden bamboo, mottled bamboo etc. A great diversity of exotic flowers and precious herbs widely spread in the bamboo sea, like winter sweets, peachs and plums, azleas, primroses, orchids, camellias, osmanthus, futalas.
   The Moso bamboo adopted by us all grows in Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea and surrouding area, which gurantee the top quality of our raw material.
   Bamboo sea is a naturally-formed bamboo garden, situated 60 km southeast of Yibin. In its central region, more than 5000 hectares of big tall and upright bamboo (Pronounced in Chinese as Nanzhu, spelled Phyllostachys Mazelexh. de Lehaie in Latin) shelters 28 ridges and peaks high and low, 500 hills big and small. Bamboo grows in the fields at different levels and in the mountains and hills that stretches long and far. The place seems like a misty vast green sea. Hence comes the name of "Bamboo Sea". Characterized by bamboo scenery, the Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea is a "China's National Scenic Spot", one of "the 40 Best Tourist Attractions", a "Chinese Biospheric Protection Zone", "the First AAAA Class Tourist Attaction".
   The climate is very pleasant in bamboo sea, with an average annual temperature of 15.5℃, temperature above 0℃ in winter and below 30℃ in summer, 345 days of nonfrost period. The bamboo sea is characterized by wide scenic view with gentle hillock and valley, pure and fresh air, intercrossing rivers and streams, down pouring waterfalls, mirror-like lakes, clear taste springs, twisted paths through twilight shades, deeply affected strong fragrance, leading people into a mysterious world.
