Bamboo has very strong bending ability; the hollowness of large Moso Bamboo is 0.85 degrees, bending ability of more than twice as large as the same weight of a solid rod. Mechanical designer inspired, developed valuable hollow rotating shaft, the carrying capacity of which is not reduced under the conditions of the savings of half of the steel. From the famous Zheng Banqiao's "picture of bamboo and orchid" has been inspiration to design the construction of up to 315 meters high, 70-story tall Tower of Bank of China. This "imitation bamboo masterpiece," stood straight through a typhoon in Hong Kong, "stood tall and firm despite of constant plight, fears no wind that blows hard from any way."
