    There are 44 days away from the opening of 2010 Shanghai World Expo, The model of INBAR exhibition hall of the Shanghai World Expo met Chinese and foreign media in Beijing.
    Shanghai World Expo is another world event hold by Chinese Government after Beijing Olympic Games.The INBAR international organization is invited to show experiences of its member states working together to promote the cause of the global bamboo and rattan development, poverty reduction, economic development and environmental protection in the international joint museum.The Shanghai World Expo is the opportunity for the world people and international community to aware of Bamboo and Rattan and opportunity to show bamboo technology, bamboo culture, and integration of bamboo green materials and alternative resources into the urban low-carbon livings and green livings and promotion of urban ecological civilization and building of better lives in cities.To be presented at the World Expo will further expand the global influence of INBAR and promote the internationalization process of the organization and healthy sustainable development.
    The INBAR international organization joint museum has a 90 square meters of exhibition hall, "Bamboo and Rattan • Habitat• Environment"as the theme.The exhibition hall will be decorated by high-tech bamboo material imitating model of the Qinian Pavilion the Temple of Heaven of Beijing.The facade of the Hall is LED screens decorated with original bamboo.The overall design of the hall will use concepts of high technology and modern urban design.90% of the construction and decoration materials will adopt certified bamboo and rattan.All the materials can be recycled and reused. The Director-General of INBAR expressed the hope that the Expo will be the platform on a global scale of promotion of the use of bamboo and rattan products in daily life for reduction of carbon emission and help the poverty region in China and around the world develop economy.The EU Ambassador to China said that the EU supports international bamboo organizations to participate in Shanghai World Expo to promote the application of bamboo and rattan in poverty alleviation and sustainable urban life.The Expo will provide an excellent opportunity.
