The trade surplus of import and export of wood and bamboo chopsticks (2010/03/25)
    In recent years, the import and export of disposable wood and bamboo chopsticks changed greatly, which is closely related to the stretching of economic macro-control policies of the state.     According to the latest Customs statistics, in terms of export, last year the total amount of export of disposable wood chopsticks increased 1.36% over the same period of 2007, and that of disposable bamboo chopsticks unchanged from the same period of 2007. Regarding the amount in value of export, wood chopsticks increased 1/3, and disposable bamboo chopsticks increased 10% over the same period of last year. The export price has also increased. Last year the export price of disposable wood and bamboo chopsticks per ton were also up more than 30% and 10%. In term of import, 2008, the total import amount of disposable wood chopsticks decreased nearly 1/3 over the same period of 2007; that of disposable bamboo chopsticks is more than doubled. The import value amount of import disposable wood chopsticks reduced 10% over the same period but that of disposable bamboo chopsticks nearly doubled. Last year, the level of average unit price of wood chopsticks and bamboo chopsticks were up 3 times over the same period. Among which, the import price of disposable wood chopsticks increased 1 times per ton, the level of average unit price of disposable bamboo chopsticks significantly decreased 41.15% over the same period of 2007.
    From the comparison of aspects of import and export of disposable wood and bamboo chopsticks, firstly, although the trend of export of disposable wood chopsticks is increasing, the growth rate of 1.36% is sharply declined compared to that of previous year; secondly, whether disposable wood chopsticks or bamboo chopsticks, the surplus remained high, thirdly, there is a huge change in the level of import and export unit price, in which the import unit price of disposable wood chopsticks has biggest increase, which is more than doubled over 2007. Last year, the import amount disposable bamboo chopsticks sharply increased 1 times, but price cut nearly half over the same period; in the meantime, export price of disposable bamboo chopsticks has an increase 187.87 USD
